Wild Light- Florida Edition
The Florida heat is at it’s peak! I’ve actually lived in Florida for a few years now and I never realized how amazing the natural space is. I’m not prone to living in hot weather climates and I’m unfortunately allergic to mosquitos bites and fire ant bites. So needless to say I liked spending time indoors while living in Florida. It’s easy to see the beauty in mountainous landscapes, however it requires a certain level of quiet and stillness to see the same here. It’s flat, muggy, and buggy. A few supplies later and walking or sitting quietly and you can watch the landscape come to life. Bobcats creeping in the forest, armadillos digging in the palms, and alligators sunbathing. There is so much to see!
Deciding to take on the project of creating a wildlife photo book has been such an informative venture. I have seen so much wildlife that I didn’t know was existent in Florida. I’ve always loved photography because it felt like a way I could share how I view the world with others. I’m just so happy for the opportunity that through this project I can also spread the joy and wonder of nature and the animals around us.
I will be posting on the blog weekly (Tuesday) so make sure to follow along for updates. Of course if any of these animals are one of your favorites I will also have prints available for purchase here. In Florida I will be focused on photographing these lovely animals:
